Josefina Tanganelli Plana (Barcelona, 1904–1966) was a Catalan cartoonist and painter.She studied at the school of La Llotja, and her style was tender and soft, with innocent humor. Her most famous works were published under the pseudonym Abel [1] in the magazine En Patufet, as well as the comic supplement of the same publication, Virolet. As cartoonist, her style is influenced by the work of Arturo Moreno and Joan Junceda.[2] She illustrated various narratives of Josep Maria Folch i Torres, like Les aventures del pobre Friquet (1930). Since 1931, she was dedicated to posters and painting, and exhibited in Barcelona, the USA, Canada, Germany and Santo Domingo, where he lived for several years.
